Data integrity

Definition

The level of trust an organisation has in the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and validity of the data.

Purpose

If data has high integrity, it means we can trust it – which is crucial when using it to make decisions. It shows if data is accurate, complete, up-to-date and valid.
